Who We Are…

Golf From The Ground Up was founded by Blake Parkman, a former nationally competitive junior golfer who earned a Division I golf scholarship and competed at both the University of Georgia and Columbus State University.

After spending years competing at a high level, Blake learned a lesson that many golfers discover too late:

The biggest obstacles to success aren't always found in the golf swing.

They're found in preparation, expectations, confidence, discipline, mindset, and the ability to respond to failure.

Like many junior golfers, Blake experienced the pressure of rankings, scores, comparisons, and expectations. He understands firsthand how easy it is to become focused on outcomes while losing sight of the habits and processes that actually drive improvement.

Through years of competition, setbacks, successes, and personal growth, he discovered that long-term success in golf is built from the ground up—not from chasing rankings or trophies, but through consistent action, purposeful preparation, and a commitment to continuous development.

That realization became the foundation for Golf From The Ground Up.

Today, Golf From The Ground Up exists to help junior golfers and their families navigate the challenges of competitive golf with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose. Through player development coaching, tournament preparation, mentorship, accountability, and performance guidance, Blake helps young golfers focus on the controllable factors that lead to lasting success both on and off the course.

Everything is built around one simple philosophy:

Foundation. Action. Failure. Repeat. = Success.

Success is not achieved by avoiding failure.

Success is earned by building a strong foundation, taking consistent action, learning from setbacks, and having the discipline to repeat the process over and over again.

Because the best golfers aren't built by chasing results.

They're built by mastering the process that creates them.

Develop the Player. The Results Will Follow.
